Dear St. Luke Church Members and Friends,
Sunday, November 17th is Consecration Sunday at St. Luke. On this Sunday, we begin making
our financial commitments in support of the ministry and mission of St. Luke Church for 2020.
God has blessed St. Luke! We have witnessed the wonderful growth of children, youth, college and
older adult ministries. We have seen an overflow of compassion through missional outreach both
locally and globally. Every area of growth and vitality has been undergirded by someone’s
If you pledged for this year’s budget, we thank you, and we ask you to renew your pledge for 2020
by completing and returning the enclosed commitment card on or before Consecration Sunday.
If you did not pledge this last year, we ask you to prayerfully consider the importance of making
a pledge of your financial resources for the work of Christ through St. Luke. We need our entire
church family to participate in this ministry of glad and generous sharing, that we may continue
to reach the world for Christ.
Inside the enclosed brochure is a Projected Narrative Budget for 2020, offering an overview of our
ministry priorities as a church. On the back page is: (1) A Step Profile of our congregational giving
pattern for this year (2) A Personal Giving Calculator for determining what percentage of your
income you will give for Christ in the year ahead. We invite you to join us in asking one question of
yourself and of your family: What percentage (%) of our/my income is God calling us/me to
give for the work of Christ in 2020?
Thank you for sharing in the ministry of Christ through St. Luke Church. By your faithful financial
support, you join fellow members in sharing the good news with “glad and generous hearts.”
Yours to Count on In Christ,
Robert Beckum, Senior Pastor
Nolan Pendleton, Stewardship Chair
